CONFESSIONS FROM THE WAR
Feature documentary on the Lebanese Civil War in the tradition of Marcel Ophul’s Academy Award Winning ‘Sorrow and the Pity’ in which the French discussed collaborating with the Nazis for the first time. This is not about who did what to whom but personal stories of what happened to them and the affect that it had on their lives. One of the film’s interview subjects said that to get over something, you must talk about it and in Lebanon, nobody talks about the Civil War. This is much needed and timely. Seeking funding.
